Struck by Secondhand does not accept returns, but exchanges are possible as of course, the goal is to provide you with maternity and nursing clothing that fits and serves you!

Exchanges

Please note: Clearance items as well as items purchased from the $5 bin (found in-person) are final sale.

How long do I have to exchange?

  • The exchange process (meaning you have gotten in touch regarding your desire to do so) must occur within 3 days (weekends included).

  • This means that within 3 days of receiving the item(s), you have notified Anna of your desire to exchange via email or social media (message on Instagram or Facebook Messenger) explaining the reason.

Exceptions to the timelines stated on this page are only made should the shop be closed. In that case, timelines will be adjusted accordingly.

Items must be unworn and in the exact same condition that you received them in or they will not be accepted. Tags must be attached and the condition of the tag should be relatively untouched.

Should the shop not have anything in stock that suits your needs at the time of exchange or you don’t have time to come in and browse right then, a store credit will be made available to you to use at your earliest convenience.

For In Person Shopping and Pick-Up

How do I actually go about switching out my pieces?

  • If you purchased an item(s) in person or via porch pick-up and would like to exchange, you have 7 days (weekends included) to make an appointment and exchange the item(s) in person.

Your item(s) must be returned within this time to be considerate of others who may be in need of that particular piece, as there is usually only one of each item in the shop. It is your responsibility to find the time to visit in person and every accommodation will be made to coordinate this. Should it make things simpler for you, Anna can meet you at the door, and your baby/children are always welcome to come along/use the playroom while here.

For Shipped Items

How do I send my item(s) back?

  • If you opted for shipping, the exchange process must begin within 3 days of receiving your product in the mail. This means that you have re-packaged the item(s) and taken the package to the post office to be sent to the shop within this period of time.

  • You are welcome to re-use the packaging provided or use your own.

  • You are welcome to bring your item(s) back in person should you prefer, please see “for in person shopping and pick up” above for details.

Please get in touch with Anna via email or social media (message on Instagram or Facebook Messenger) to communicate that your package is in the mail.

Please note, return shipping costs are not covered for your exchange.

For Items Purcahsed at Hip Kids

Hip Kids is an independently owned and operated, mama-run business in Downtown Kingston, Ontario. Struck by Secondhand has a large collection of stock available at the downtown location for try-on/in-person shopping as well as pick-up. Items from this location can also be shipped.

Should you like to exchange an item you have purchased from the Hip Kids location, please get in touch with Anna via email or social media (message on Instagram or Facebook Messenger) to express your desire to exchange, or allow Hip Kids staff to put you in touch with Anna by providing them with your contact info.
